My constituency question is to the Minister for Mental Health. The residents of Murrindindi Shire, in my electorate, had received two exemptions from the Minister up to 30 June 2019 in relation to the provision of publicly-funded mental health services.
Last week I visited The Cottage, a private not-for-profit facility in Shepparton that is dedicated to providing safe, drug free accommodation to people trying to free themselves of addiction.
My constituency question is to the Minister for Police and Emergency Services and follows weekend coverage in the Herald Sun of yet another attack on emergency workers in Northern Victoria, this time in Shepparton. I ask the Minister from what date did or will the government’s legislation from last year to mandate minimum sentences for assaults on emergency workers start being reflected in court decisions in Northern Victoria?
