I do not support an extension of 12 months to the Government’s emergency powers. On further elements of the bill, we are continuing to consider this internally and consulting with the community before making a decision.

I continue to be extremely concerned at the impact of restrictions on people’s mental wellbeing, financial stability, and their ability to work and care for family members.  Border restrictions have further affected many of our communities in Northern Victoria.
